Village War Rewards Now Match the War
Written with today's names: some places and characters in this entry have been renamed since it shipped.
A short release: a fix to Village War rewards, one balance change, and a handful of fixes to jutsu, crafting and rifts.
Village War
- Rewards now scale to the length of the war that was actually fought. The participation requirement used to be a fixed twenty minutes, which nobody could reach in a war decided sooner. A full thirty-minute war still asks for twenty minutes; a war settled in seven asks for four and a half.
- This covers the plundered vault as well as placement rewards, so a decisive early victory now pays out in full. Winning quickly is rewarded rather than penalised.
- The 5 September Siege of Mist was settled by hand, with Ryo and Chakra Crystals paid to every shinobi who took part.
Balance
- Spore Technique now deals 54 damage over time, down from 90, in line with comparable jutsu at its level.
Crafting
- Three rare pieces that only come from drops, Tale's Scimitar among them, can now be broken down at the Craftsman. Their salvage follows their rarity, so gear you have replaced turns into materials and Fragments instead of sitting in your vault.
Dimensional Rifts
- Rifts no longer open inside boss arenas, event grounds or raid areas. They still appear across the open world, so a rift is always somewhere you can travel to and leave again.
Jutsu
- Two close-range strike jutsu now show as out of range when your locked target is beyond their reach, like every other range-limited jutsu. The cast is held back rather than spent, so you keep the chakra and the cooldown for a moment when it will land.
- Mastery cards now describe the bonus each jutsu really receives. Four jutsu that deal no direct damage were advertising a damage bonus.
- Three Days to Die now shows its real Mastery reward: a deeper cut to the healing its victims receive, reaching 20% at Mastery 20. The bonus was always applied; only the description was wrong.
No progression, inventory or Mastery levels were changed by this release.
