Sign In With Discord and Chat With the Community

Written with today's names: some places and characters in this entry have been renamed since it shipped.

The game and the Chakra Online Discord server are connected now. You can sign in with Discord, link it to the account you already have, and talk to the Discord channel without leaving the game.

Sign in with Discord

  • The login screen has a Continue with Discord button. One tap, approve, and you are in: no username, no password, no email to confirm.
  • On your first time, an account is made for you and you join the Chakra Online Discord on the way through.
  • Already have an account? Nothing changes. The button is an extra door, not a replacement.

Open the menu, then Social, then Discord. If you signed up the ordinary way, an offer is waiting: link your Discord and you get one of every Elixir, Might, Focus, Warding, Vitality and Wellspring. It is once per account, delivered straight to the character you are playing.

The Discord channel, in game

  • There is a new chat channel. Type /d followed by your message (or /discord), or pick Discord from the channel list; the desktop HUD gives it its own tab.
  • What you send lands in the Discord channel, and what people say there shows up in your chat with a Discord tag. Your own messages appear on Discord under your Discord name and avatar.
  • It is for linked players only, both ways. If you have not connected your Discord, you will not see the channel or the conversation, and the game tells you how to join in when you try.
  • Your world chat does not go to Discord. Nothing you say in the game leaves it unless you deliberately send it on the Discord channel.
  • Images, files and stickers posted on Discord do not cross over. A picture with a caption arrives as its caption.

Unlinking

Use the same menu. If Discord is the only way into your account, you set a username and password first, so unlinking can never lock you out. The form is right there, and you can add a recovery email at the same time.

The account panel knows who you are

If you signed in with Discord, the game used to call you a guest and claim your progress was saved on this device. Neither was true. The character select screen and the account panel now name your Discord account and offer to add a username and password as a second way in.

Fixed

Hovering an item in the crafting bench made the whole list strobe and took your tooltip with it. The bench now redraws only when something actually changes, and never while you are hovering.
