Solo Raids, the Consumable Belt and a Shared Vault

Written with today's names: some places and characters in this entry have been renamed since it shipped.

This update lets you take both raids on by yourself, puts your potions and traps one keypress away, and turns the vault into one stash for your whole account. A few things change on existing characters the moment you log in, so start there.

What changes when you log in

  • Your jutsu bar is smaller. Desktop goes from 17 slotted jutsu to 9, the mobile chakra wheel from 16 to 9. Every jutsu is still learned; anything past the limit just needs re-slotting. The freed space became the consumable belt.
  • Consumables recharge by category: four separate 60-second timers for HP, Chakra, Stamina and Travel, instead of one shared 8-second timer.
  • Log in once on each character so its old stash merges into the shared vault. Refinements and rolled attribute tiers travel with the item.
  • A free Respec Scroll for every character that existed before this update.

Solo raids and an endless ladder

  • Both raids now offer Solo, Normal or Hard. The Glassworks opens Solo from Lv20, The Ash Foundry from Lv45.
  • Solo pays exactly what Normal pays: 2,500 Ryo and 0.25 levels at The Glassworks, 4,000 Ryo and 0.35 levels at The Ash Foundry. Story chapters 3, 8 and 13 accept a Solo clear, and the Jounin Trial no longer needs a party.
  • Solo is a ladder with no cap. Every clear unlocks the next rung, and every rung raises the enemies' level by 1. Rung 1 is the fight it always was; deep enough, Solo is harder than Hard.
  • The chest never changes with the rung. You climb for the fight and for the new Solo Mode Ranking at every raid door.

Hard raids hit like Hard

  • Ren Ashblade's health doubles to 160,000 and his attack to 400, Hayate's attack doubles to 330, and every telegraphed blast deals double damage. Normal and Solo are untouched.
  • Both raids take a squad of 3–5, and squad seats follow the leader's rank: Genin 3, Chuunin 4, Jounin 5.

The belt and real traps

  • Desktop: eight amber slots on Shift+1 to Shift+8. Mobile: the fourth wedge of the chakra wheel. The belt is saved on the server, so it follows you from PC to phone.
  • Caltrops and Tripwires sat in the shop doing nothing. Now they are placeable traps: a Caltrop deals 25 damage plus a bleed, a Tripwire 6 damage plus a 4-second slow. Each catches the first hostile to touch it, and they never bite you, your squad or your war allies.

A new jutsu: Body Replacement: Kai

The swap that breaks every hold on you: Lv19, 220 chakra, 30-second cooldown. It clears every crowd-control effect including stun, and it is the one jutsu you can cast while stunned.

The story stops walling you

Out-level the Chuunin Tournament (Lv24) or the Ash Foundry raid (Lv48) and the story moves on. The beat stays owed and completable; nothing is granted for skipping it.

Fixes

  • The Abyssal Kraken respawns every 12 hours instead of 24, and no longer greets you already enraged: its fight clock starts on the first real hit, and a wipe always resets it.
  • The five Region Explorer medals and Flawless Beast Hunter can finally be earned, because walking into a map now counts.
  • The Water Dragon's bite animation plays, Taren finally has something to say about the last trial, and Dagan no longer rewinds your story.
  • An unfinished chapter shows Still open instead of Complete.
