The Abyssal Kraken, Hollow Moon Prizes and Inspect

The release that brought the Playstyle Update live also replaced the world boss, set out the prizes for the Halloween event and added two tools you have been asking for.

A new world boss: the Abyssal Kraken

The Abyssal Kraken now holds The Abyssal Grotto north of the mist village, still reached by Water Walking. It has all-new art, from the Abyssal Cannon to a Breach after every dive. When the lake darkens before a Cannon, get off the water.

• Tentacle Slam — red lanes light up under whoever stands at the front of the sand, then erupt. Step sideways out of yours.
• Crushing Embrace — a gold ring marks whoever stands farthest back, and an abyssal orb is lobbed onto it. Still inside when it lands, you are sealed in and crushed. Step out, or let Kawarimi take it.
• Maelstrom Dominion — a whirlpool drags everyone on the water toward the Kraken, then collapses: the closer it pulled you, the harder it hits. Swim out, dash away or get to the sand.

Health, the enrage timer, the respawn and the loot are unchanged, and the boss now resets when a party wipes or leaves. The scroll teaches Kraken Summoning, which raises the Kraken behind you to strike when you strike, and the title is now 《Kraken Slayer》. Your progress and rewards carry over.

Night of the Hollow Moon, Oct 23 to Nov 9

• Earn Embers from almost everything you do, on one ladder per account.
• The Hollow Reaper (Lv72) appears in the wilds every odd hour for 10 minutes, and the Runaway Pumpkin runs at :15 and :45.
• The Warden at the Hollow Moon Fair trades Moon Candies for treats, materials and Transmog Scrolls.
• Ember rewards include the Pumpkin Staff, the Pumpkin Reaper's Cursed Hat and Shroud, and 12 season achievements.

Ranking prizes

The top 10 also win a Selection Chest: pick the piece, and it arrives at +0 with every stat at its maximum (purple) tier.

• #1 — Bloodsword or Adamantine Staff, 300 Crystals and 《The Hollow Reaper》
• #2 — Frostfang Sovereign Crown or Mantle, 200 Crystals and 《Moonbreaker》
• #3 — a limited celestial attire or the Frostfang Sovereign Crown, 200 Crystals and 《Moonbreaker》
• #4–10 — Golden Pendant, Sealing Talisman, Azure Prayer Beads or Gilded Talisman, 100 Crystals and 《Lantern Vanguard》

The ranking locks on Nov 9, and the top 10 can claim right away from 🎃 Halloween ▸ Rewards until Nov 16.

Inspect and password reset

• Inspect: right-click a player (long-press on mobile) or open their card in Social to see their character and equipment. Prefer privacy? Settings ▸ Privacy ▸ Inspect ▸ Block.
• Forgot password? on the login screen sends a reset link to your account's confirmed email. It works once and expires in 30 minutes.

Fixes

• Tapping the Basic Attack key once no longer attacks twice.
• Kawarimi can no longer blink you out through a door.
• Closed an exploit that let a character wear a third ring.
